How do I set up a News Flash Module in Joomla?

A Newsflash Module displays random information such as a single Article, or multiple Articles from a single Category so let's imagine you have a Medical Category and within that Category you have a number of medical related pages. Each time your page is refreshed, a different Article appears in the Module.

Click Extensions

The Extensions menu option will display

Click Module Manager menu option

The Module Manager page will display

Click the New icon displayed at the top of the page

Select the Newsflash radio button on the Module page

Click the Next icon

Type your title in the Title field

Select your required position from the Position drop down list

Select your Category from the Category drop down list

News Flash items can come from a single Category

Select Randomly choose one at a time from the Layout drop down list

Click Save icon displayed at the top of the page

Preview your web page on your Joomla! web site.

You will see your News Flash Module displayed.

Refresh your website page by pressing the button on your Browser and you will see that an article will be displayed in a random order
