How do I add a Poll to my Joomla Web Site?

The Joomla Poll Component allows you to create poll questions for your site. Site visitors can then respond to the poll questions. This Component allows you to place up to 12 questions, or 'options', in each poll question.

Click the Components Menu

The Components Menu option will display

Click Polls

Click the New icon displayed at the top of the page

The Polls Manager page will display

Type a title in the Title field - this will be your question

Type your answers in the Option section on the right hand side of the page

Click the Save icon

Note: Make sure the Poll is Published otherwise you won't be able to select it in the Module Manager section

Your Poll is now ready to be displayed on your Joomla! Web Site

Click the Extension Menu option

The Extension Menu option will display

Click Module Manager

The Module Manager Page will display

Click the New icon

The Module New page will display

Select the Poll radio button

Click the Next icon displayed at the top of the page

Type the title in the Title field

Select the Position from the Position drop down field where you want your Poll to display

Select the Poll you have just created from the Parameters Section

Click the Save icon

You can now view your Joomla! site and see your Poll displayed where your visitors can vote
